+ The response of churches to social issues, the presence of street pastors in Cornish towns

In following the teachings of Christ, local churches have sought to tackle some of the social issues that affect Cornish communities. Poverty, homelessness and isolation are a few of the issues that have been addressed through food-banks, shelters and drop in centres.

Key Stage 3 pupils will explore key teachings that motivate Christians to respond to the needs of others and identify how churches have addressed social issues in their area.
