+ The role of Christianity in the shaping of Cornish institutions

Christianity has directly shaped the development of Cornish institutions, for instance the Methodist desire that people read the Bible for themselves led to the opening of educational establishments which are still in existence today. Indirectly, the Christian culture of Cornwall has nurtured institutions concerned with the improvement and well-being of individuals and communities.

Key Stage 3 pupils will consider how Christianity has shaped Cornish institutions.
